My mother-in-law had some problems with the morning routine as well. If I understood the information from her correctly, it was related to the olive oil. Instead of the fresh ginger root, she started adding ginger tincture (1/2 to 1 teaspoon), that seemed to help. Since learning about the ginger tincture, I have been using that in the flush drink myself. It works pretty well for me.
As Bob mentioned, when you drink a lot in a short period of time, it can nauseate you. Possibly adding what I consider to be a pretty "wrenching" taste of the D-Tox tincture and that could have set you off. Possibly all three things in combination did it.
I would try spacing the D-Tox tincture a 10-15 minutes later and see how that goes.
