Echinacea Plus instead of flu shots?

Hi everyone!

Last night I heard on the news that the US supply of flu shots would be cut in half because one of the big international suppliers didn't meet US standards with this year's batch.

My husband John works in the health care industry and said people were calling him all day to see if he had any flu shots or knew of any new developments. He doesn't, and he didn't.

I'm thinking this means the flu will be around longer this season, and we might see some epidemics in the schools, etc.

Am I right to think it would be good to do a round of Echinacea Plus about now? If so, what dosage? And what about the little guys? How do you figure out how much to give children?
