Re: Would you do a little research for me?

Hi Donna,

The reason most medical doctors
aren't interested in nutritional
research is that there's no MONEY
to be made in nutrition! Whereas
surgery, chemo, radiation, and
prescription drugs, bring in zillions of dollars. It's that simple. We live in a country
where all the medical money is to
be made treating the sypmtoms of
diseases, rather than trying to
prevent them. We don't have a health
care system; we have a disease
management system. There's NO big
money to be made in preventing disease. Don't ever forget that.

Here are my sources for some of
the foods and supplements you
listed:

1) Brewer's Yeast Buds or Flakes --
I use the 1 lb tins that Lewis Labs
produces. You can find them at any
health food store.

2) Lecithin -- I've been using
Solgar's Lecithin "95" Granules for
at least 15 years. It also comes in
1 lb tins, and is available at most
health food stores. Lewis Labs also
makes lecithin. There's a wonderful
mail-order health food store here
in South Florida named Tunies that
can ship you most of the items I'll
mention. Their prices are LOW. The
order line is 1-800-645-0940.

3) Selenium -- eat one Brazil nut
every day. That will cover your
selenium needs -- and they're delicious. Buy them organic. I have
a source in California, if you need
it.

4) Wheat Germ Oil -- I used it for
20 years and then stopped. I can't
remember why. I now use rice bran
and flaxseed. I also used flaxseed
oil for 20 years, and then switched
to grinding my own flaxseed. See my
post on the Constipation forum
entitled "Flaxseed will give you
regular bowel movements." I URGE
you, Donna, to begin grinding your
own flaxseed at home. It is a
marvelous food, chock-full of goodies. Let me know if you want
more information about how to get
started.

5) Vitamin C -- Since 1977, I've
been dealing with Bronson Pharmaceuticals. Their number is
1-800-235-3200. I mostly use product
#50, the vitamin C crystals (powder)
in the form of sodium ascorbate.

You didn't mention this, but I think
you should be taking the best daily
multiple vitamin you can find. For
me, that's Daily Advantage, produced
by Mountain Home Nutritionals, the
company created by Doctor David
Williams. I've been taking two
small packets of Daily Advantage
every day for the last three years;
one in the morning and one at night.
It's the only multiple I know that
has EVERYTHING you could want in it.

I also use Dr. Williams supplement
for eyes, Vision Advantage. I've
been using that for 3 years, too.
And, Donna, my eyes are back to
20/20. I see better now than I did
when I was 11. I used to need glasses to drive. Not now. I can
read most print, unless it's tiny-
tiny, without reading glasses. I give Vision Advantage all the credit
for that. Their order line is:
1-800-888-1415. Incidentally, between the Vision Advantage and the
Daily Advantage, you'll be getting
about 13,000 IU of Vitamin A per day.

I'd also suggest you sign up for
David Williams' email alerts (about
two each month), as well as his
print newsletter. I've learned so
many things worth knowing from
David Williams. I'm in the process
of reading my way through his old
newsletters now; a treasure-trove
of vital health information.

All for now.

Blessings,

Owen
