The 3 I mentioned are strains of the bacteria that come in many brands. I have used the following brands plus others with success in patients Metagenics Ultra Floras at recommended dosage and increase by 1 cap or 1/2tsp more after 2-3 weeks also Entrin by Miracle-Mineral-Supplement PRO the same dosage also Culturelle at recomended dose ,also use Culturelle double dose for Chronic bacterial infections of lower bowel.
Watch digestion and bowel function to determine. Once you have a good implant of bacteria ,bowels should function normally and if diet is proper it should keep the flora fed without supplementation; but this can take from 6-12 months of staying away from the foods that destroy the good bacteria.
It is not the larger amounts that always help ; but the proper diet.
