It may be that you have more bad bugs taking over your gut than just candida. It happens often with candida, and you have to squelch all of them to recover. I'd suggest having a good stool test done. It would also determine how best to combat the bad bugs and whether you have other problems, like low digestive enzymes. When I had mine done a couple years ago, I had some other bugs besides candida, the worst of which was an amoeba. After two weeks of an anti-amoebic, they were dead and gone after fighting the symtoms for years! If you don't feel you can afford to go to a doctor, you can try the over-the-counter antiparasitics. It does work on a lot of parasites. If your symtoms improve quite a bit with the over-the-counter stuff, then they get worse again after a while, I'd say you really need to go the stool test route. That happened to me with the amoebas. Only the prescription was strong enough to kill them off permanently. And if you haven't had a stool test or antiparasitics in over a year, it may be time to do it again. Candida makes the gut environment hospitable for bad bugs, so it's really easy to catch something when your gut is in a state of dysbiosis.
