Re: Is candida straining my liver and kidneys?
Hiya Loiman!
Glad to hear you've started a candida diet, but is it the one recommended by Yeast Connection Cookbook?
Raised Uric Acid means that you're eating too many foods high in Uric Acid. This is serious because uric acid deposits create
kidney stones and arthritis, depending on where it "lands." Was your Creatinine in normal range? If it was then you have not yet experienced permanent kidney damage, so this situation is balanceable. :)
To reduce uric acid you must DRINK MORE WATER and stop eating red meats, including pork and all deli products, lentils ... here is a GREAT website that explains it all:
http://www.hollywoodurology.com/uricacid.html
Also study up on foods that help restore proper PH balance, such as super-green supplements.
The
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) will not completely cleanse bowels, I don't even recommend it as part of a healing regimen. I DO recommend psyllium seed fiber and
Bentonite clay. The colon has to have something to work with and exercise it, and also to scour the sides free of mucous and debris. After taking fiber shakes for 1-2 weeks, be sure to start those liver flushes!
Outside of taking herbs to support the bowels and liver and probiotics to encourage friendly flora to grow, I do not recommend taking candida-specific supplements for the most part. The important thing is cleaning and restoring balance - when there is balance, candida gets under control. Killing it does practically nothing - it just grows back.
