Re: IUD

I am curently trying to decide whether or not I want an IUD. I waso n the pill for about three years, stopped taking it a year ago, and really like having my own cycle. I've never had children.

I've read some serious horor stories about the IUD causing dizziness, headaches, acne, cramps....all kinds of stuff. I can't tell, though, whether the Marina or the non-hormone ones have less side effects or different kinds of side effect. I'm also having a hard tme finding a doctor who knows very much about the IUD.

What's the story about possible infertility afterwards? I definately want kinds at some point. Does anyone have any advice? My periods aren't too heavy or long (about 3-4 days), but I get one day of really bad cramps right now, and I'm not using any kind of birth control.
