I had a "Merena" IUD, it is a slow release progesterone IUD, and it was AWESOME!. Usually used for woman who have already had one child, (not sure why), are in a monogomous partner, and you cannot have a history of ectopic pregnancy.

MOST women experience decrease in period blood flow, and decreased cramping with their period after several months. Ask your Doctor about it.

Copper IUD's are also popular. I prefer the IUD to taking the pill, the pill WACKED me out SO bad, I tried it 2 or three times throughout my 20's-30's and my body never agreed with it. Anyways, good luck! And Congrats on your engagement. Tweet
