I don't know how to react...

My mother in law was recently diagnosed with Lyme and apparently has had it for many years. She recommended for the whole family to be tested.

My husband took the test and was reactive only to the 41KD (IgG) Band. The note from the doctor came as following: "Lyme's panel is negative for Lyme's disease. Reactive to one band only - may be from prior exposure. No evidence of active Lyme’s Disease."

He has not yet gone to an infectious Disease specialist and I just don't think I am emotionally ready to put him on cat's claw for a year and a half, at least not until something is confirmed. I am not afraid to confront the disease. I could do that. What I can't do is put him on a treatment that he may or may not need and yet I am pressured by his family to do so. Number one, it could be harmful for him using it long term if he doesn't need it, at least so I've read. And number two, it's expensive.

I would greatly appreciate some insight or thoughts. At this point I just a little confused and I don't know what to do.
