When I found out the truth a part of me was shattered I was depressed the whole day and afterwards. Same with the easter bunny, the tooth fairy etc. I was more than happy to let go of all the lies. We tell them NOT to accept candy from strangers ever!- only then to be dressed up and go begging for it on Halloween, the bigest bunch of nonsense ever. In Detroit, it has become a deadly night, many fear for their safety as homes are often set on fire by teen youths out on a out of control evil party.
