Motherof4, please don't get me wrong! I have absolutely no hostility neither toward Arabs, nor Muslims! I consider Arabs, and Muslims alike, as my brethren, although they are not genetically.

I am from the state of Kerala in India. A disciple of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) first introduced Islam to the subcontinent (Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, etc.) via the Malabar Coast located in my state. The first mosque (and church, and even Jewish temple!) established in India was established in Kerala! My people have a long history with Arab traders. In fact, one-quarter of the people of my state are actually said to be directly of Arab descent (the Mappilas). There are even some Qur'anic scholars who suggest that there are verses in The Holy Qur'an referring to the Malabar coast--that is, the present-day state of Kerala.

Sorry if I came off as a little abrasive and/or blunt; I guess I am just a bit argumentative today. I do sincerely want to learn about Islam...believe me. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.
