Re: what inspires you

About ten years ago I used to listen to Bilal Philips, alot, and I used to read Sahih Muslim vol 1-4. I would struggle to un plug the t.v. while my husband would work longs hours and I just grabbed my ahadeeth and started to grasp an understanding of my deen. I really now understand even though all of the works are translated into english, one really needs to know the arabic, as the arabic was the very language that came from the prophet himself (sallaAllahu alayhi wa sallam)- and it was the very language that came from the Angel Gabriel ( alahiwasalam ) that was sent by the Almighty Creator(subhanA wa Tal'aala)-
With children now its hard to pour over books I would want to. I have the tafsir of the Quran by Ibn Katheer vol 1-10 which is probably my favorite. I also love the stories of the prophets by Anwar Awlaki- audio CD's-excellent, I cant recommend them enough-ok I have more than one favorite!
The sealed Nectar ( prophets seerah is also nice)
I hope you are doing well and I wish you the best in this life as well as in the next, ameen.
(yes reading about jahanem and jennah is something I will never forget-I heard some explanations from a tape that had been translated-I will never forget the clear vivid memories it put in my mind-may we be protected from hellfire and granted paradise yaRabb!)
takecare~
