My regular Doctor is Chinese but he has never brought up any traditional Chinese treatments with me. It's like he thinks that we westerners don't want to know about it, that we aren't believers.
The only times we've spoken about non-western treatments was when I have brought the subject up. I mentioned that I was reading up and trying to incorporate Feng Shui into our lives. His eyes lit up and he started telling me how to arrange my daughter's bedroom, she was very ill at the time. I worried about telling him about taking her to a Natropath. I needed to take my son to him and he mentioned that he hadn't seen us for a couple of months and was I taking my daughter to another doctor, we had been going to him a couple of times a week. I told him what I had done, again his eyes lit up and first thing he asked was he treating her immune system. I can see that he is a believer in chinese treatments but can't understand that some westerners may be interested in hearing about alternate treatments.
