About MSM and Interstitial Cystitis control.

Sorry everyone for not replying to your questions right away. My main forum is the liver cleanse one.

I was just talking to my sister and she's happy to know that she may be able to help someone with her experiences. Here's what she said:

MSM is methysulfonylmethane (now we know why they call it MSM (hehehe) It is present in every plant and animal. Yes, it is in you normally. It is your body's natural anti-inflamitory. Taking extra just gives you a boost.

She has had pretty much every brand she can get her hands on from the expensive to the cheap. They are all equal in effectiveness. She now uses Walmart brand 'Equate' Her only stipulation is that her's is not animal derived. They are an over the counter suppliment.

She gets 1000mg tabs and take 2 per day, one in the morning and one at night. She stressed DON'T GIVE UP ON IT, THEY TOOK A FULL MONTH TO SHOW ANY SIGNS OF WORKING FOR HER!!!! It may work for you faster or it may take longer. Like any natural suppliment they don't work instantly they have to build up. Now when she is having problems, a headache coming on, or any other inflamitory problem she takes an extra dose and often finds relief. You should not exceed 3 doses a day.

A sidenote for anyone who's interested. It took 2/day for her to get relief, her husband finds relief from his Arthritis with one a day.

If you have any more questions just let me know. I'll be more faithfull checking back.

Good luck to all,

Amazed
