I did just - courtesy of the parasite forum - have it confirmed that what I'm seeing are parasites - in fact, roundworm larvae, which look (interestingly enough) like little cut up red jujubee pieces. Hayley said "keep doing what you're doing and soon you'll see the adults come out!" Fun.

Remember when you were a kid? And there was a bug on you? And you stood really still while your mother brushed it off but then if it took too long you'd go, "Get it off. Get it off! GET IT OFF! GETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFF!!!!!!!!!!" That's what I feel like - only you can sub OUT for OFF.
