Hypoglycemia & Flushing - Julia Chang/Sensible Health Feedback
If you recall, I had a major hypoglycemia episode during my last
Liver Flush due to skipping meals, etc. In addition to the regular liver flush, I also take Sensible Health products Coptis to stimulate bile flow, Curcuma to aide in same and to help sleeping, Gold Coin Grass to crush stones and Chinese Bitters to cleanse the liver.
As I use these products, I wrote to Julia Chang at Sensible Health for her take on why I had such a rough time with the hypoglycemia reaction. This was her response:
Hypoglycemia is caused by a weak spleen and pancreas. According to Chinese medicine, the spleen, kidneys, and lungs work together as a team.
Epsom Salts and/or Magnesium are very harsh on the kidneys. When the kidneys are weakened, your spleen would be weakened too. I believe that with all the drinks you took, your kidneys, spleen, and and liver are weakened significantly.
Therefore, bile and stones will not move properly. I have weak kidneys myself, and I tried ES drinks only once. I will not touch it again because it dried my body up completely.
The only situation where I recommend the use of ES drinks is when a stone gets stuck on its way out and Coptis and Curcuma are not available. In this situation, ES drinks are taken only once to dilate the duct and help push the stones out.
Go back and start with Chinese Bitters in the morning and Coptis/Curcuma at night, then change to GCG and proceed
to gallbladder flushing. I would recommend you avoid ES or Magnesium drinks in your next flush, as it is not required in my procedures.
I had to go back to the Sensible Health site to review her recommended liver/gallbladder flush procedures. Her site address is www.sensiblehealth.com for those who want to check out her flush procedures.
I want to point out, however, that I used Epson Salts during my FIRST flush and substituted magnesium citrate during the SECOND flush. While the ES were wickedly strong for me, I must point out that the Magnesium tasted like a sweet tart - good for the 6pm drink, but made me pucker something awful during the 8pm drink. Due to my hypoglycemia, I know to avoid sweets and sugar. I think this switch from ES to
Master-Cleanse was what put me into the downward spiral with my blood
Sugar as for me, it was SO SWEET and tart and I would not normally put something this sweet into my system. I also got substantially more stones out with the ES than I did with the MC, but I had to abort the 2nd flush as my blood
Sugar had dropped so low and that became my priority.
I guess in the end, we need to find what works for each of us individually. My wife loved the magnesium citrate and passed alot of stones and several quarter size stones. So she knows that works for her and plans to continue using it. I plan to flush again this weekend. I will, however, follow Shelleycat's advice and eat a no fat breakfast, lunch AND an early dinner to keep my blood
Sugar up throughout the flush.
I hope to have better luck this time!
