Interesting!

Hey Midlothian Girl, are you like your handle suggests, mostly of Western European descent?

Because I wonder if it's a question of genetic history and blood types making the difference. I think that getting a lot of oil from coconut wouldn't work for someone whose genetics is based out of say, Russia, where there never were any cocounuts.

Macrobiotics and the Blood Type Diet are the only ones I know of - besides I think the metabolic typing diet which I haven't studied - that advise people to respect their genetic heritage. I've always wondered just how much of a difference it makes. I do fine on the Blood Type Diet because I'm type O and that's very friendly for the liver in a lot of ways, a very clean, basic diet.

Did you use the good quality virgin coconut oil? Now I'll really have to try it to see how I do with it. :) I'm way curious now! ;)
