The standard directions on cold pressed capsules say
1 tablespoon per 50lbs.
2 tablespoons per 100lbs.

It takes 14 of the capsules to equal 1 tablespoon because there is so little of the oil in one due to the heavy vegetable coating(?) to keep this oil from decomposing.

So 14 x 2 = 28 capsules, or 2 tablespoons for someone who weighs 100lbs.

There is lots of information how this (Omega 3 fatty acid) is used as a good preventative against cancer. There may be a biochemical link between cancer and schizophrenia occuring in the same person that is more than just a correlation. Here's one guess, perhaps both are helped along by that one protein gone awry. Perhaps that's one of the real causes.

I have not read anything on correct amounts given or tried with schizophrenia.
