may have endo

I am curious to know if anyone has experience what my doctor says may be caused by endo. I have always had pain during my period so I never questioned it but for the past 5+ years sex has been pretty average because if I try any position other than me on my back it hurts on my abdominal area and I have to push down on that area w/ my hand so it doesn't hurt as much. Please let me know if someone has had this experiance and if it has been related to endo. If not what can it be?
