working from the basis that fear is usually unfounded. I wonder if your fear of opening up (being unlocked) will bring danger?
Why would the shooting men be after you or even know of you? You hide in a warehouse (big open space) and freak out because of insecurity.

Then your fear was shown to be for nothing as he was killed and no one not even the people who were open were hurt.

Continue to open your self and have no fear you will find your fear of the unknown is unfounded. Are you going through an awakening of sorts where you are being more open or transparent and feel a target?
