Topical application of flax oil (linseed) on the skin

I have been afflicted with crappy skin my whole life, having problems like acne, dry skin, and kinds of fungal rashes that would crop up, among other things.

I am trying very hard to cleanse my body and control my diet to keep my skin feeling healthy, and so far I have greatly reduced my acne, and the severity of dry skin.

One thing that I have been reading about is supplemental flax seed oil, and the Budwig diet (flax oil & cottage cheese blended together, no sugar, no meat). I have started taking flax oil in this form, and time will tell if it will benefit me.

Something I have been trying for a couple of days is topical application of flax oil onto my skin. I have red marks left over from Acne scars and such that seem to be healing very, very slowly, and I was thinking that the omega 3 and vitamin e in flax oil would help the skin heal better, faster.

I would like to know if anyone has ever heard of studies on (or perhaps has personal experience with) topical application of flax oils. Information about other COMPLETELY NATURAL topical skin supplements would be helpful and appreciated too.

Thanks,
Supacon
