The 4 Phases of Transformation - an Alchemical view.

I came across this in my Mountain Astrologer magazine and thought that all us symbolists would find it interesting. (remember your Marriage dream, Peachy?)

Calcinatio - burning - fire.
Coagulatio - solidifying - earth.
Solutio - dissolving - water.
Sublimatio - elevation - air.

The final coniunctio (conjunction) was the culmination of the Opus (work), the union of opposites, resulting in either death (mortifaction) or a transcendent "marriage" of the opposites into a new form.

It makes great sense that we may go through a transformation (symbolized by Fire in our dreams) in this order. Did you have Fire dreams at the beginning of your Transformation? Did it move to lots of Earthy, digging, rocky dreams? Then move forward to water of all types dreams - then finally into Air, Bird dreams.....?

With "marriage" dreams happening at each transformation? (we have many throughout our lives...)
