I love what Tracey said, great stuff! Bay is also used especially for prophetic dreaming and wish fulfillment. Very cool that you had your silver key dream after slipping bay leaves in your pillow! A key to a vehicle (yourself) that you didn't know how to use just yet, but you will! That half moon shape, half is hidden, half is shown, the Quarter moon, transformations, seeds of new beginnings bursting forth, revolution, reaching for the unknown - just Wow!

Interesting that it was a man trying to kill you.... any old lingering "rational" fears of letting go? Control issues, or trust issues that you may be struggling with? But, you got away! Yay! AND you poked out that man's eye and it was actually a change slot! My mind justs jumping here, eyes can represent clairvoyance (!) but also be symbolic of 'I' - the way you view yourself. So, maybe you just need to get out of your own way for your gifts to just Really take off, and your whole material situation (the coin slot) will open up!
