Hi Grog,
Ok, not sure where you are getting all your information but I'll try to clarify a few things with regards to Naltrexone and how a low dose of it would work for MS. Naltrexone, when taken in the full FDA approved dose of 50mg somehow causes the body to stop producing endorphins which is why it is used that way to treat heroin addicts. Well Dr. Bihari, some 15 years ago theorized that if you took a very low dose of naltrexone, that would cause the body to do this for only a short time. The body then thinks it needs to produce an overabundance of endorphins which it does. Something like 200% to 300% more. This in turn regulates the immunse sytem back to one that works normally and no longer attacks itself. I sure hope I did that explanation justice because I am not a doctor, nor am I a scientist...lol. I am simply an MS patient that thanks her lucky stars that she found this therapy some 2 years ago. I am now leading a pretty normal life I'm happy to say. I know it sounds to good to be true but please do some research yourself and you will not be disappointed. There are thousands of us MSer's out there right now using this therapy. There are several compounders around the country and the world compounding this for us. Check out www.ldninfo.org for more info. Also check out that www.remedyfind.com site. Unbiased info regarding what everyday folks are taking for their ailments. Not some bs that is doled out by companies that stand to make billions on drugs. Can you tell that I am passionate about this topic? Please do not hesitate to write if you have questions for me. wkendz32@hotmail.com Oh and you asked about pain. Well if you have a lot of pain that causes you to use narcotic based drugs, I must warn you that they cannot be taken with LDN. Nor can any of the ABCR's other then copaxone. Good luck to Grog.
