Frozen food, rebounder
In your book you advise against frozen foods. Is this because most frozen foods are blanched (briefly submerged in boiling water to kill the enzymes, for those readers who don't know :)), or is it something in the freezing process itself? For example - if I freeze some vegetables straight from my garden (without blanching it first) have I ruined it? What about storing grains or beans in the freezer to make sure there are no bugs?
What about vegetables like Brussels sprouts or kale that grow in the snow and are often harvested after they’ve been frozen?
I guess what I’d like to know is WHY frozen foods are bad. Thank you very much!
Edited to ask: OR did I misunderstand and you were really talking about frozen foods such as tv dinners and frozen pizza, and it's ok to eat frozen organic asparagus and lima beans which I really miss because I can't buy fresh here? Thank you Andreas! Also, my husband thanks you because we never eat leftovers anymore!
Also, what is your opinion of jumping on a rebounder (mini trampoline)? I keep reading that it's very good exercise and moves the lymph fluid. However, it makes my insides (bladder or reproductive organs?) feel like they're about to fall out when I use it. I have had 4 children so maybe my organs are really loose? Or is it because I'm vata and have a very long torso, so more jiggle room inside my abdomen? Does this mean it's not good for me to continue or does it mean I really need the exercise more than most people? I am doing the Five Tibetans but I do struggle with them and sometimes feel like I have to force myself to do them. Thank you!
