Insomnia and muscle twitching

Hi Andreas,

I have been having two little problems lately. One, is frequently not being able to sleep. Sometimes I lay awake until 4:00 am. My stomach solar/plexus feels very agitated and my body will not relax and allow me to go to sleep. Any suggestions on what to do? This has been going on since menopause and sometimes can last several nights in a row. Even when I do sleep, sometimes I wake up during the night. Six capsules of Valerian root have no effect. Homeopathic remedies have no effect. Sometimes a little aloe juice with cholorphyl helps...sometimes not.

The other is having little muscle twitches all over my body -hands, face, hips, arms - but mostly in my legs. It has calmed down in the past month or so, but still happens every day, and I am wondering what causes such a thing....I have even wondered about Parkinson, MS or Lou Gerhrig's disease....but I don't think I have any of those. It was quite pronounced for about six months...sometimes my body would jerk violently...but now it is much more gentle and I am not as worried. Mostly I notice it when I meditate or am resting - not so much during the day.

Even tho it is better now, I still wonder what is going on.

Thank you for any help you can give. I hope everything is well with you.
