Two questions-Insomnia and red pin sized dots

What would you say is the most common cause of insomnia?

And I have noticed a lot of very! very! tiny pin sized (perfectly circular the size of a spec of dust) blood red dots on my arms and stomach, can you tell me what this means?
I also have a lot of red moles is there any correlation? The red moles and pin sized blood spots showed up around the same time my other illness showed up.
