jesus encounters

i once had an encounter when someone laid hands and prayed for me and the person said stuff that felt like it was coming from jesus..saying that the blood he shed was for me. then with me eyes closed, i saw a vision of jesus kneeling before me with tears in his eyes and arms stretched..asking me to return to him..

i was very touched and kept crying...how does one explain such encounters and what would it signify..if any ?
