Geez, also, at the end of the day, they are 'your' children to be raised as your heart tells you. Your inlaws are totally overstepping the boundary by going against your wishes. This may be something you need to discuss with your spouse/partner and have him/her talk to your parents inlaw about how inappropriate it is that they disrespect your wishes.
