Re: Thymus

Dear Chris,

All suregies affect the thymus. THe thymus gland is the first gland to respond to stress of any kind, before even the adrenals. Physiologically, the thymus forms an essential part of the immune system. It activates T-cells. The T stands for thymus. In most of us, the tymus shrinks each time we contract as a result of fear. Fear is the cause of all stress. Most children have very large thymus glands, whereas most adults very small ones. However, the thymus can be strengthened and actually grow larger again when fear becomes replaced with inner trust and confidence. The thymus responds quickly to the spiritual experience of love and happiness (for not external reason). That's why it is also known as the "High Heart." Meditation, palying with children, folowing one's passion, looking for the best (not the worst) in others, etc. are direct ways to heal and influence the thymus in a positive way.

Andreas
