Re: an oxygen-type powder bowel cleanser
64311,
I only know what I read, so my suggestions may or may not be useful.
I've used Bio-Cleanse, "a specially formulated magnesium oxide", "(concept of Dr. F.M. Eugene Blass)" from Advanced Health Products, P.O. Box 745, Porthill, ID 83853.
The instructions say to take 1/2 teaspoon, in water, followed by 3 tsp. of lemon juice.
It works as a laxative like gangbusters, although my doses were slightly larger.
It doesn't cause aches, but it does cause gas! And you'll want to stay near the bathroom, if not staying seated there!
I use this substance only occasionally (perhaps two in a row, morning and night, or two mornings in a row), for two reasons...
...1. It seems to affect the gallbladder/liver, in a good but powerful way. I've felt stones dropping out of my liver, once the gallbladder emptied nearly completely. Although this is highly desireable, if it happens too quickly, you can feel aches, etc. in the liver area.
I'd suggest taking one or two small doses of an oxygen powder, over, say, 24 hours, and repeating the procedure no sooner than a couple of weeks later...until you are sure of its effect on you.
...2. I've read that magnesium taken orally can actually DRAW magnesium from your cells...a very unhappy situation, I think. According to this theory, it is better to get your magnesium, and many other nice things, from dark leafy greens.
Also, we may need to ascertain that our vegetables are grown in soil that CONTAINS all the necessary minerals, etc.
Seaweeds have the advantage of growing in ocean water, which contains all the minerals constantly being soaked from sands (rocks) all over the planet.
Recently I've read that the combination of calcium and vitamin D are basic to life, that means sunshine on the skin plus a little seaweed, to me.
And maybe a happy song or two.
