if you have a small sweet when you take your parasite dose it will actually help it. they love Sugar and they will eat and attack all the poisoned sugar.
dont go and eat a whole box of candy.
but you could have one piece with your dose. and ONLY with your dose.
otherwise you are feeding them Sugar without poison.
