Worried about wormwood, considering allopathic treatment...need info

I posted below. I discovered a live and unfortunately quite robust Ascaris worm coming from my toddler yesterday. We immediately went out and bought and started ParaGONE, which contains Wormwood . The whole family is taking it...mom and dad, and kids (6, 5, and 2 - not the 9mo though). I am nursing the two youngest kids. Wormwood is supposedly unsafe while nursing and also sounds iffy for kids. Yet the two allopathic options I've found, mebendazole and pyrantel, both sound quite toxic as well. I am having a hard time figuring out the best course of action, and I do *NOT* want to leave this untreated. That worm horrified me. And I have relentless anal itching and "dancing" that Must Stop.

I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to choosing a treatment that is 1) safe 2) effective and 3) quick. If others can share information about these I would be most grateful. Thanks.
