I used white vinegar because I have read that apple cider vinegar, at least the raw kind, may contain molds which could enter into the bloodstream via the colon. When the ACV is ingested by mouth, the stomach acids will kill the mold, but the same mechanism in not in place in the colon.
I really don't know about the yeast problem, but would guess it would be OK since there is not a large source of sugary nourishment and the contents of the enema would be voided quite quickly.
