A couple simple harmless things that may help
Ironically, I never experienced constipation UNTIL I did bowel cleansing! I believe it's due to becoming dependant on the senna after two months of use.
I highly recommend colonics. They're very helpful and if nothing else, they get everything out of you and make you feel great. It's normal to experience a little delay in bowel movement after a colonic, but I had one last week and didn't go at all for three days afterward. That means I had NINE meals sitting inside me!
So, here's what I did. I took triphala (available in capsules in healthfood stores). Maybe you know already, but it's a mixture of three fruits and is prescribed in Ayurvedic medicine. It's great because it is an extremely gentle, non-habit-forming laxative. My experience is that it promotes a healthy stool instead of the loose, incomplete stools you get from most laxatives. I also drank two cups of flaxseed tea. Just boil a handful of flaxseeds. It's slimy, but that's the point. It helps everything slither on through. I did those two things yesterday, and this morning, I had THREE great bowel movements, well-formed and complete. I'm going to keep up this treatment along with
colonics until I get back to normal.
