Re: Advice Please
I second that. Look into Celiac, gluten-intolerance. I had IBS symptoms my whole life, diagnosed with Hashimotos Thyroiditis, gas, wild constipation to diarrhea swings. I had such severe cramps that I used childbirth breathing, which I learned in nursing school, to deal with the cramps. (Then when I gave brith, it was actually relatively tolerable... I had had lots of experience dealing with severe abdominal pain!) I was also anemic on and off, and had severe dizzy spells.
Finally, i did some research on my own and discovered a celiac-thyroid link. Went off of Gluten, and low and behold, 90% of my symptoms went away.
My gut isn't entirely happy yet. But no more screaming cramps and diarrhea. No more chronic fatigue. improved memory function. No more anemia.
Now I just wrestle with constipation on and off, and subsidiary liver and gallbladder issues. (Which I am trying to address right now.)
Celiac is thought to be the number one undiagnosed and misdiagnosed health problem in America right now. And the only Autoimmune condition that is totally controllable... you just go on a gluten-free diet. But if you continue to eat gluten, then leaky gut, diabetes, liver issues, gallbladder issues, other autoimmune conditions etc...... can follow.
it id definitely worth checking into.
