Re: bentonite+psyllium+ master cleanse- ok for acne?...
Hi Stacy!
You're right about the
Antibiotics doing you more harm than good... especially when taken for an extended period of time for a non-life- threatening condition. I'm not familiar with your particular skin condition, but cleansing is beneficial for everyone and it is likely that your skin will improve.
Virtually everyone has mucoid plaque in their intestines...unless you've lived a pure life with all whole plant foods diet, pristine air and water, no chemical exposures and little stress...it's in there!
The digestive system normally secretes mucous for lubrication, but it should be clear and almost as thin as water...and you wouldn't see it in your stools. Expelling mucous can be a sign of many things...pathogenic organisms, poor diet, colon conditions such as colitis or Crohn's disease, etc. A
Colon Cleanse would be recommended.
You have to decide about the medication...but I would stop if it were me. Tetracycline is an aggressive broad-spectrum
Antibiotic that creates imbalance in the intestinal flora and sets the stage for future problems such as candida and bowel dysfunction. You will definitely need to use a good probiotic to replace beneficial bacteria...but it is better to wait until after a thorough
Colon Cleanse to start using it...it implants better in a clean colon. You can take probiotics indefinitely with no problem.
Yes, you can use supplements when doing a cleanse...but you should be getting the bulk of your nutrients from a healthy diet.
Go to the active
Bowel Cleanse Forum for info on the psyllium and
Bentonite colon cleanse...that's a good place to start. You will eventually want to do some
Liver Cleansing as well to detox from all the medications you have been taking.
