colonic irrigation...worth it?

Hi, I'd like to do some form of Colon Cleanse and was wondering whether it is advisable to go straight for a colonic irrigation or do a colonix type programme over a few weeks? I like the sound of a colonic for the more immediate results but wondered if there are any health risks with this? Also, is it a treatment that is given free if suggested by your GP or will it cost? I don't suffer with ill health pertaining to my bowel/colon but thought a cleanse would be beneficial to my overall health anyway. I do however get mild acne, particularly around my mouth and have been led to believe this signifies problems in the bowel area? Any advice would be great, thankyou :)
