Re: daily coffee enema question
Hi Izzy! I'm really glad you posted about this. I've been doing
coffee enemas for a number of years and never really knew if I was harming myself in anyway because it was for so long. But, I was so sick before, and it was the only thing that made me feel better, so I just did them.
Just like an MD to tell you stop immediately. These doctors. I was at the doctor's a few months ago and he asked if I was taking any thing. I told him some bowel cleansing herbs. He asked me how many bowel movements I have per day. I said 3. He said that's too many, stop cleansing, I should have 1 BM every 2 days. Oh my God. These doctors...they really know nothing about detoxification and cleansing, or even healthy bowel activity... and they are very quick to be an expert on things they know nothing about. He actually told me what I was doing was stupid. Man oh man....I didn't go back to him again
From my own experience with
coffee enemas daily...I don't think it's harmed me. I was so key in getting me out of bad states many times. And I mean not a temporary 'fix', but bringing me back up to some state of health.
I've been in and out of bowel cleansing for years, and in and out of a
healthy Diet too. I've done
coffee enemas even when my diet wasn't so good, and I've done them when my diet has been good. I got more benefit from them with a good diet (of course), but...they had the biggest effect when I was having 8 fresh juices/day. I did this for 6 months and felt quite a bit better. It used to be that I couldn't feel well without a coffee enema, as in,...every day. After doing them as part of Gerson Therapy...now, I can go a week or more without one, and even then, I'm not feeling so sick I can't bear it.
So...they've helped me a lot! How much coffee do you use, by the way, for an enema? I've been using 4 teaspoons/2 cups (I don't use 1 quart...too hard to hold for me).
But, I'd love to know too, if they are alright to use indefinitely.
Thanks for writing about this!
