When I first started using psyllium, I was like you. I suspected that the brown 10" ropes I was passing was the psyllium. But then one day I was shocked by what came out of me. Five feet, wrapping around and around the top of the toilet, of rough, nasty, black stuff! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it for myself. Good Luck!
