Hateful future? What do you call the present? A despot and his elite guard murder their own people, use chemical warfare against Iran and commit war atrociites left and right! If America sat back with the rest of the world, who knows what kind of hateful world we'd really have in the future. If Saddam continues in power, no one will be safe, Jew, Gentile, or Muslim!
I really don't think anyone wants war, but maybe we've learned a lesson from the past! Eight to twelve million people died while Hitler ruled. The world turned its back then, too. Maybe a few million lives could have been saved if America got involved sooner.
