The Real Picture

I thought this was rather well put, from a proud American.

"Just in case the soldiers out there aren't getting the full picture of what's really going on back home: Flags are everywhere, planes are circling with "support our troops" banners behind them, yellow ribbons are showing up on trees, and everyone is glued to the TVs and praying for you guys. The talk is all about the war, and our confidence in you, and creative ideas to support you and your families."

"The news media keeps showing a group of unbathed bong-smoking communists lying on the streets and bitching about everything from the 2000 election to SUV gas mileage. They are a distinct minority of freaks, despots, and crackpots, they are dismissed and dissed by those who must step through their paths. Ignore them, we do."
