cities indeed have been doing this where they can bully those unfortunates without having to go to the highest court in the land. yes, it has been gotten away with but is unjust and un-constitutional in the strictest meaning of the word. now the court has set a benchmark case favoring the local government. read the decision. part of it equates intellectual property with real estate. how can that be? justice o'connor is quite correct in that this precident will be used by the wealthy to just grab more land. here's the decision if anyone feels like reading the whole thing....
