If you boil water for 10 minutes it raises the PH of the water to about 8.0. Not sure why this works. May be because the churning of the water increases Oxygen content which will raise the PH or it causes a release of Hydrogen which will also raise the PH. PH is Potential for Hydrogen, which means that if you raise the % of Hydrogen the water becomes more acidic...raise the Oxygen content and it becomes more Alkaline. In pure water you only have Oxygen or Hydrogen.
