Re: Cleansing Reaction?

I have CFS/MCS. I've been experiencing extreme cleansing reactions while doing hydrogen peroxide (h2o2) therapy. I find the easiest way to clear the symptoms is by taking hot baths or saunas - the longer and hotter the better. It works by increasing your metabolism and by vasodilation (increasing the size of the blood vessels and capilaries) this improves blood flow and clears out the toxins faster. Try it!

More info on cleansing reactions (also called the Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction): http://lassesen.com/cfids/herxheimer.htm

The best way to get through a cleansing reaction is to increase the dosage of your treatment. You'll get through the detox much faster - and you can use the hot baths to improve your tolerence (it will allow you to tolerate a much stronger detox).

My reccomendation: Hot peroxide baths are the ultimate in detox! Use 3% drugstore hydrogen peroxide in a hot bath. Use 1 to 8 pints. Start with 1 pint and work up to 8 if you can handle it. This is equivalent to 1/2 to 4 quarts. Stay in the bath for at least 20 minutes (the longer the better). It's by far the most potent and easy cleansing there is. Do them at least once a day. Search for "hydrogen peroxide baths" on the internet for more info... There are other ways of doing oxidative therapy, but this is the easiest and most effective. However for intestinal problems or infections oral peroxide and probiotics are more effective.
