Well, of course I am not the author of the above quote but this is my best understanding (which may or may not be on the money!):

"divers" -- strange diverticulitis-shaped petrified rubberish poop that finally came out of the colon. Because it has been stuck in the colon for so long and hardened so well, it has taken on the shape of the colon which has diverticulitis -- and has actually been the cause of the diverticulitis at the same time.

The "divers" are "what pooped out." Getting the divers to come out is clearing the way for total healing from diverticulitis (that along with a new diet plan that will not encourage new divers).

How does he know what they weighed? Haha. Well, a lot of times when people get this really weird stuff coming out of their colons they are extremely excited by this. I mean, it's really gross but at the same time it's like, "WOW! I'm so glad THAT is not in me anymroe!!!!!!" and especially if they have the propensity for sharing their knowledge with others, they might want to lift the strange stuff out of the toilet water with a branch or stick or some such both for photographing and for weighing. Have you ever seen what divers look like? There's some on the web. Here's a gross photo of divers for ya. I can't really tell if this is the photo of a colon with divers in it or a picture of what came out of a colon with divers in it:
