Re: first flush....
It sounds like you wouldn't mind some feedback, so I'm assuming that it's OK to chip in my $.02.
I have heard that panic attacks (PAs) are often blood
Sugar related. The most common condition is called reactive hypoglycemia (RH). An excellent way to trigger an RH panic attack would be to eat/drink a bunch of fruit/juice and then fast. I'm thinking this might have caused your PA. RH isn't detected by the fasting blood glucose or the hemoglobin A1c tests that most doctors give, so millions of people have undetected RH.
As far as liver cleansing, it's not necessary to eat fruit. I found that I can eat anything before 2:00, including foods containing fat like yogurt and steak. This helps keep blood
Sugar up. At least this works for me. (I try not to eat too much so that I'm not nauseous at night.)
Quick and cheap RH test:
If you can tolerate sugar, pick up a roll of glucose tablets from a drug store, and the next time you have a PA take one. If that doesn't stop the PA, you might consider trying a second. (Restaurant
Sugar packets could also work.) If sugar stops the PA, the PA is probably caused by RH.
Cheap PA "cure":
When do you typically have your PAs? Is there a relationship between this and the last time you had something to eat? Was it a high or low glycemic meal? Keep track of this and you may find that your PAs happen roughly the same amount of time after eating (or after eating certain kinds of meals). If so, eat a low glycemic balanced snack between meals, before your typical PA cycle would occur, and you may never have another PA again.
This is not a cure, but it will hold you until you can figure the cause of your RH. This can take some time to troubleshoot. The real cause is often adrenal and/or digestion related (yes, it can involve the liver). This is just a brief summary. It's a very complex subject.
I hope this was at least of some help to you. Please let us know how you're doing.
