Hello! Not everyone has calcified stones....but they are the only ones that will turn up on ultrasounds. People *are* able to get out the calcified stones - I've heard people talk of hard whitish ones & ones that have a malt-ball like porous dry consistency...and I've read posts by people that have had ultra sound before and after some flushes that show that they have, indeed, gotten some of the calcified ones out!
The calcified ones sink, so if you're not eliminating into a collander (in your toilet bowl) you might just miss them!
