You guys made me curious about pumkin seeds...! This is the article I found.

I bought some hulled pumpkin seeds, threw them in my coffee grinder, and stirred it into my yoghurt. DELICIOUS!!!

I found this article:

Properties:
Sweet in flavor, mild in nature, it is related to the stomach and large intestine channels.

Functions:
Destroys parasites.

Applications:
To treat parasites:

This herb can destroy intestinal parasites. Sweet in taste and mild in nature, it causes no impairment to primordial qi. It is mainly used to expel and kill teniae (tapeworm). In addition, pumpkin seeds can also be used to treat schistosomiasis (infestation with or disease caused by schistosomes), but a larger dose should be required and they should be taken for a long time.

a) Taeniasis:

This herb is always used together with betel nuts, which can enhance its curative effects.

b) Schistosomiasis:

It can also be used for the treatment of schistosomiasis.

Dosage and Administration:
60-120 g.

Grind into powder and mix with cold boiled water for oral administration.

Cautions on Use:
As this herb contains fatty oil, side effects such as anorexia, diarrhea, etc., always occur if a large dose of pumpkin seed powder is taken, but they will vanish by themselves.

Reference Materials:

Toxic or Side Effects:

Modern Researches:
Pumpkin seed contains water, cucurbitine, protein, fat, carbohydrate, fibre, ash, calcium, phosphorus, iron, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, fatty oil, proteins and vitamins A, B and C as well as carotene.

The seeds are mildly diuretic and vermifuge.

Its active ingredient cucurbitine can paralyze the middle and rear sections of teniae and it has a synergistic action with betel nuts. It can inhibit and kill the larvae of schistosomes. For adult schistosomes, it can cause their bodies to atrophy and their genitals to degenerate as well as reducing the eggs in their uteri, but it cannot kill the adult parasites.

Pumpkin seed can be eaten fresh or roasted for the relief of abdominal cramps and distention due to intestinal worms. About 800 peeled seeds is said to make a safe and effective treatment for tape worm. They are ground into a fine flour, then made into an emulsion with water and eaten. It is then necessary to take a purge in order to expel the Tapeworms or other parasites from the body.

The seed is high in zinc and has been used successfully in the early stages of prostate problems. The diuretic action has been used in the treatment of nephritis and other problems of the urinary sustem.
