Anybody know about parasites?

I have a question about parasites.

I have done a parasitic cleanse and have gotten no worms or anything. I did the cleanse earlier this month it is the VF brand it is some nasty brown liquid you take twice a day for a week then drink some tea and do it again for another week etc.. Anyway I got nothing. But today (and I know this sounds gross) but I had this feeling like something was poking around the inside of my bum????? Imagine that? I passed it off for a while but it became very persistant and was almost like a pin poking me. So I went to the bathroom and felt around in there with my finger and out came this little white skinny worm about 3/4 inch long!!! UGGGHH..... It was definately still alive and moving so now what?

Does anyone have any idea what kind of worms these are? And why didnt the parasite cleanse kill off at least some of them? How do I kill them and what will they do to me? Should I have my kids checked?
